Tomi’s 10th Birthday Testimony

My life is filled with many testimonies, and one of the most remarkable ones occurred exactly 10 years ago today with the birth of my amazing son, Tomi.

I was induced into labor, and many complications arose in the delivery room while trying to deliver him naturally. During the process, Tomi became stuck, and the medical team grew increasingly anxious and panicked. Despite the tense atmosphere, we kept worship music playing in the background, and somehow, I felt an unexplainable peace.

Eventually, Tomi was delivered, but during the difficult birth, his shoulder was dislocated as the medical team worked to bring him out safely. One of his arms was completely paralyzed and immobile. Additionally, he had a significant swelling on his head due to the medical instruments used during the delivery. After thorough evaluations, the pediatrician concluded that there was a 75% chance his arm would remain permanently paralyzed and would not grow properly.

But I rejected that prognosis. In the weeks following his birth, Tomi still could not move his affected arm, and it began to appear noticeably smaller than the other. I refused to accept this outcome. Every day, I prayed over his arm, anointed it with oil, and declared life and restoration over it. I also spoke to the swelling on his head and commanded it to reduce.

God honored our faith-filled prayers. Miraculously, his arm began to regain function and strength, and the swelling on his head gradually disappeared. Today, the incredible highlight of this testimony is that I cannot even remember which of Tomi’s arms was affected, nor can I recall which side of his head had the swelling. God restored everything fully—nothing missing, nothing broken. Truly, God is good!

I encourage you never to accept any outcome you don’t desire. Continue to speak life into every situation, believing persistently until you see God’s perfect will manifest.
